Cones and Conifers!

Listed below are some of the concepts we covered about our current 4 Wind theme.

1. Cones vary in size and shape. They serve as "cradles" for maturing tree seeds.
2.Trees that have cones are called conifers. Some types of conifer trees are; pine, hemlock, fir, cedar and spruce.
3. Cones hold and protect seeds as they ripen. When they are mature they open and release their seeds.
4. Cones come from living plants.
