What Does A Bee Look Like?
The children created their own interpretation of what a bee looks like. We used lots of different types of non-fiction text to help us. Each children decided what parts of the bee they wanted to label. We talked a lot about how we can learn a lot about living things just by looking at pictures, photographs and illustrations.
The children started working in their scientific investigation journals today! Each child drew a Monarch Butterfly and labeled 1 body part. Then they named their drawing. When we create scientific drawings we use pencils, colored pencils, crayons and rulers. I have a few photos below for you to check out. Great thinkers!
